Meet Auntie Carla
Carla Heinecke is a retired public school educator who loves spending time with her family and doing missionary work in Kenya with H.E.A.R.T. (Health Education Africa Resource Team). She writes poetry and songs dedicated to special people in her life and enjoys teaching in English and Spanish in the U.S., Central America, and Africa.
Carla’s writing plans include 12 more historical fiction books about her intriguing childhood in Northern Idaho.
Deep in the Northern Idaho mountains, Timmy, Perry, Vickie, Sue, and our storyteller, Carla Beth, harvest as many huckleberries as they can for Momma’s freshly baked pies and jellies. All of a sudden, they realize they’re not alone…. Watch out everybody, and get ready for a close encounter with Mr. Huckleberry Bear!
